Attractive Scarcer Bison Friedberg NumberFr. 115 $10 1901 Legal Tender PCGS Gem New 66PPQ. A scarcer Friedberg number for the Bison design with serial number A5556354. Our inspection finds an attractive Fr. 115 with ideal inks, white paper, full margins, and embossing of both the Treasury Seal and the red "X" counter within the two unprinted areas on the back. Our consignor acquired this note for $19,975 out of our April 2017 CSNS auction. Since then we have auctioned only one other Gem that does not have a low serial number. It was a PMG 65 EPQ example that was only 14 serial numbers removed from our current offering. It fetched a winning bid of $20,400 in January 2023.
