Serial number A131167-C in this lot is the sole highest graded example of only 16 listed in Track & Price and of those 16, one resides in the Smithsonian Institution and another calls the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco home. This is a gorgeous Choice About New 58 note in a comment free holder with ideal color and minor handling that consists of only bottom corner folds. Only the note in this lot and a PMG 55 Fr. 159 are listed in T&P with grades higher than Fine 15. In fact, the PMG 55 has not changed hands since it crossed the auction block in 2011. It has been over ten years since the PCGS 58 note in this lot last appeared at auction, when it realized $64,625. We will be conservative with our estimate due to the lack of recent auction results, but we would not be surprised if this both rare and quality note fetched a significantly higher bid.
